The fireplace is 9.5 feet high and 6.5 feet wide. The rock came from an outlet, River City Rock, but where it was quarried is unknown to me. The stone is a real product, with a thickness of 1.5 inches. The difference between cultured and real is real stone is more expensive and costs more to install because of cutting and dry time. The stove is gas but since the wood framing was done to the manufactures specs so either gas or wood burning. The use of a fan depends on the unit but did not have one in this case. The room is 30 by 40 in an open floor plan so the fireplace is not going to used for heat. The rock comes in a range of colours and shapes.
